EARTHRES VP Elected to Boards of Mining Associations

We are pleased to announce that Terry W. Schmidt, P.E., Vice President of Engineering at EARTHRES, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA) and the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance (PCA). He is also the acting liaison between the Pennsylvania Mining Professionals (PMP) and PCA.

Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA) – Terry was elected as PACA’s Associate Board Vice-Chair for a two-year term through December 2021.  As the Vice-Chair of PACA’s Associate Board, Terry will be participating in all PACA Producer’s Board meetings and will be a conduit of information from PACA’s Producer’s Board to the associate membership. Following his two-year term as Vice-Chair, he intends to continue as PACA’s Associate Board Chairman for an additional two-year term through December 2023.

Pennsylvania Coal Alliance (PCA) – Terry has also been elected to serve on the PCA Board for a three-year term through December 2022. He actively participates in board meetings,  particularly those related to solving environmental challenges to the industry.

Pennsylvania Mining Professionals (PMP) – After serving as PMP’s Treasurer for six years through December 2019, Terry was selected to be PMP’s representative to Pennsylvania Coal Alliance. He actively participates in organization meetings and acts as a conduit between PACA, PCA, and PMP.

Mr. Schmidt has over 30 years of diverse experience in engineering and environmental consulting. A licensed professional engineer in six states with a Master of Science degree in Mining Engineering, he has authored and presented numerous professional papers.
