What we are seeking:

EARTHRES is seeking an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in our Pipersville, PA office. The ideal candidate will work primarily within our Mining sector but will support all other EARTHRES sectors with process engineering needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is preferred but not required. Preferred degrees are Mining, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Process Engineering or Construction Management;
  • E.I.T. or PE is preferred but not required;
  • Experience with AutoCAD is required. Must have the ability to read, review and understand AutoCAD drawings;
  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering and/or construction project management;
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred but not required;
  • Experience with heavy equipment installation is strongly preferred;
  • Be able to develop scope, schedule and budget for projects;
  • Experience and understanding of different types of material handling equipment such as belt conveyors, screw conveyors, vibrating feeders, bucket elevators, etc.;
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, critical thinking abilities, technical writing, and attention to detail;
  • Must be able to communicate, coordinate and negotiate with the client, internal staff and external contractors;
  • Must be able to understand dynamic loads and how they affect structural design requirements;
  • Strong desire to be a team player and assist with other sectors or other groups when needed;
  • Willingness to be a team player and assist with other sectors or other groups when needed;
  • Willingness to travel and spend some overnights away from home; and
  • Willingness to spend time in the office and/or in the field as required;

Job Duties:

  • Serve as expert on heavy equipment installations in mineral processing and other commercial operations;
  • Provide general layout or concepts for structures and equipment installation for further engineering development;
  • Review structural and installation drawings and advise on ease of fabrication and installation;
  • Serve as an expert in construction management;
  • Provide coordination between all parties involved in a project. Provide project timeline. Manage to a timeline and budget;
  • Conduct regular project progress update meetings and address the Who, What and When for actionable items that are identified in those meetings;
  • Provide direction to the designing engineer on how to allow for the dynamic loads in a practical manner (manage the safety factor that the engineer designs to);
  • Advise on manufacturing processes;
  • Serve as expert on aggregate processing equipment such as crushers, screens, washing equipment, cyclones, scrubbers, dust collectors, wet dust control, air separators, etc.;
  • Advise on bulk material handling. Have experience and understand different types of material handling equipment such as belt conveyors, screw conveyors, vibrating feeders, bucket elevators, etc.;
  • Develop process flow diagrams;
  • Evaluate process flow diagrams from others; and
  • Make recommendations to simplify or improve the process flow to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of manufacture;
