What we are seeking:
EARTHRES is seeking an Environmental Technician in our Pipersville, PA office. The ideal candidate will work primarily within our Solid Waste sector but will support all other EARTHRES sectors with field service related needs.
Job Requirements:
- Education – High School degree or it equivalent is required; Associate’s Degree or its equivalent, preferably in the Engineering or Environmental Sciences field, is preferred;
- Specialized knowledge – Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or related software is preferred;
- Skills and Abilities – Mechanical aptitude; Ability to work independently, take direction remotely and work with client representatives and/or contractors; Critical thinking ability and attention to detail; Good communication skills and ability to represent EARTHRES in a professional manner; Willingness to work weekends and beyond 5pm when needed; and
- Experience – 1-3 years of experience in civil/environmental engineering field preferred;
Job Duties:
- Perform construction quality assurance observation on construction projects (all sectors / project types);
- Perform field surveying, landfill gas management, geosynthetics, and earthwork CQA services;
- Perform landfill gas management (wellfield) monitoring, maintenance, and compliance reporting;
- Support engineering tasks in the office;
- Perform environmental sampling, hydrogeologic or geophysical testing;
- CAD design work
